The Star Light, Star Bright Bath Melt from Lush was probably the thing I was most excited to try when I saw Lush’s Christmas collection this year that I hauled here. It just looked really different from the rest with the glitter and it smells really citrusy and uplifting which might not be ‘traditional christmas’ but I love it. And here is why…
I cut mine in half because this is a really big bath melt and at £3.30 each I’d like get a bit more for my money, and I found a little blue part inside that turned my bath water a really relaxing light blue. You could probably even get away with cutting it into 3rds or 4ths because it’s a very very powerful bath melt packed with Cocoa butter and Shea butter. But I used half to test it out and for really dry winter skin then 1/2 is good. A whole one might even be too much.
It melted really well in the bath, wasn’t too greasy and moisturised really well. I didn’t need lotion after which was great because I’m really lazy with that. But I do recommend keeping your hair up or rinsing it really well because I think this could make it a little weighed down. And rinse your bath after or you’ll end up scrubbing away for ages if it solidifies around your tub.
All in all I think this would be a great stocking stuffer or a treat for yourself to use maybe the day before New Years Eve to get a bit of shimmer going. I’m going to be stocking up because I think it’s really great. Definitely a new favourite of mine which is saying something because I don’t generally go for ‘fresh’ scents.
